The creators of the “Grand Theft Auto Series” has created another free roaming game like “Grand Theft Auto” but in film noire. I brought up from a previous blog about how video games are not seen the same as an animation movie. Things are picking up after reading an article about this game. I thought it was interesting in how “L.A. Noire” is using motion capture to develop their game. The facial expressions and the body movements are exactly being captured from actors like the film “Avatar”.
The fact that the game is free-roaming makes this game have freedom. More and more games are allowing gamers to act freely. I remember hearing about the game “Heavy Rain” how you brush your teeth or play basketball. It seems that motion capture is becoming a big hit since “Avatar” not just in movies but in video games. If you watch the trailer for this game, the quality looks great. The facial expressions and the look of the characters were motion captured from the actors. Everything looks so detailed. All in all, I can’t wait for it to come out!

I’ve never heard of this game, but then again, I haven’t had a lot of time to see what is coming up in the gaming world. I like the Grand Theft Auto games and I also liked this game called Mafia when it came out, so this game looks like a combination of the two, in a way. It’s interesting how they are using motion capture like Avatar to create this video game. It actually looks pretty awesome. I like the low-light setting and the shadows to give a mysterious feel to it. It looks like a good game. I think I may have to check this game out when it is released. Great Post.

Pretty incredible all the different things going on at once in this one. I didn’t see it specify whether it was in-game rendered or not rather than just a trailer but if it is, then it’s dang impressive. You could tell when the guy busted through the cafe’ swinging doors all the different slight movements going on at once that made it seem all the more realistic. There’s various people in conversations at the tables, some eating, some sipping their coffee. Everything seemed real fluid, it’ll be interesting to see the final release for sure.
